The aim of the Policy Brief is to make key findings of the PlanSmart research group available to decision-makers in a concise manner. The Policy Brief contains principles for the planning and implementation of sustainable river landscapes with nature-based solutions.
The PlanSmart manual: ‘Planning nature-based solutions in river landscapes. A guide for practice’ is intended to help planners, decision-makers, experts, local action groups or other stakeholders who deal in the broadest sense with sustainable river management, urban planning or land management to get to know the concept of nature-based solutions. Suggestions are given to think about implementation options for nature-based solutions in your neighborhood and professional area. The manual serves as a guide for the planning and implementation of nature-based solutions by providing information about the individual planning steps and offering practical method factsheets that can be used to implement the individual steps. The manual is a available in German only.
